I have been trying to read a lot lately. I love reading but have a hard time trying to find time to do it. Recently I have read House Rules by Jodi Picoult, First Lady by Michael Malone, Apart From the Crowd by Anna McPartin, and Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen.
I thought this book was excellent. I had a hard time putting it down. The book is fiction and is about a child with autism. It is close to a murder mystery, but not quite. Jodi Picoult writes the book from each characters perspective. It is very moving. I feel a lot of research was put into the book and it brought me to a whole new understanding of autism.
A murder mystery that kept you intrigued. I had the murderer picked out about halfway through but was still interested to see what would happen next.
Apart From the Crowd
Takes place in a small town in Ireland. It is a classic love story with some drama thrown in.
Water For Elephants
The book goes back and forth between the present and past of an elderly man, Jacob Jankowski. In his younger days Jacob was on a circus. In the book Jacob reminisces to those earlier years with the circus including the ups and downs. This book is also going to be a movie starring Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon scheduled to be released in April 2011.
