Mental Anguish

Well, the day of my surgery is almost here.  I have been trying to remain calm and have faith in the Lord that all will go well, but to be honest I am very scared.  I am afraid that they will not be able to complete the procedure laproscopically and will have to cut me open.  I am afraid of the pain that will be involved and the length of the healing process.  Everyone keeps assuring me that it will all go well.  I wish I could just believe them.

  1. Dear Naomi
I’ve heard that nothing compares to the pain of childbirth, and that is something you know. You also know that Jesus bears your pain. He will be right there in the OR, in recovery and in your room. People who love you will be thinking of you and keeping you in their prayers. Be at peace,
    Kate

  2. You know we are praying for you. Let us know if you need anything at all.

God only gives us temptations that we will be able to overcome.

1 Cor 10:13 “No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.”

So even though you scared (I would also in the same situation), He knows that this will only make you stronger in your faith and more willing to lean only on Him.

  3. Hi Na, we love you, we respect you and we pray for you. Everything will be fine. Thanks for being the best Daughter in law anyone could ever ask for. Your a special Lady with a huge warm loving and giving heart. See you in a couple of weeks., Love, Mom & Dad
